Company History

In 2004, Brian Nicoll Engineering Ltd was established under Brian Nicoll Engineering 2004 Ltd and began trading as Advanced Engineering. Advanced Engineering became known in the Southland, Fiordland, and Otago regions for their light to medium fabrication, industrial and plant repairs and maintenance, and especially for their manufacture of agricultural tools and supplies. In June of 2024 ownership of Advanced Engineering was transferred over to the team at Static Sheetmetal & Marine Ltd, we will continue to service all the Advanced Engineering needs with bringing in years of knowledge and experince in the fabrication of alloy, stainless & mild steel.

The team have been operating at their premises in 40 Basstian St, Invercargill ever since.

Recently, the company has changed its name to Advanced Engineering, but you’ll find the same experienced and reliable team in the workshop.

Advanced Engineering manufactures the Brimar Loader

Advanced Engineering’s flagship product is the Brimar Front End Loader. This machine, which used to be called the Begg loader, is a solid workhorse for around the farm or forestry block. Advanced Engineering are proud to manufacture the Brimar loader, and provide repair and maintenance services for it, as well as all the parts and attachments you might need.
